Mute the solar charge controller at Spring Range so the HF bands go quiet. You need a callsign on the allow list and the current PIN — ask VK1HF.
The QRM Eliminator is open to any licensed amateur — you just need your callsign added to the allow list first, and the current PIN. Both come from me, and it costs nothing.

Most of the noise you hear on these receivers comes from the MPPT solar charge controller — the device that charges the site battery from the panels. Muting it makes the bands dramatically quieter. It switches back on by itself, and there is a daily limit so the battery always recovers.
